Wildfires continue to damage California's forests. In 2020, 4.2 million acres burned in the state, more than double the area burned in any previous year. The damage continues to grow. That's why in 2025, Cox partnered with Arbor Day Foundation to plant more than 160,000 trees on over 700 acres in the Eldorado Forest that were damaged by a wildfire.

The reforestation is projected to conserve 301 million gallons of water over 10 years. It also helps restore habitat for wildlife like owls, bears, and bald eagles.
